Job Title: Network Engineer

As a member of the Solution Engineering team, you will:
work with our customers and your peers, to develop and deploy service and solution designs, meeting technical requirements and delivering business value,
leverage on your experience & knowledge of technologies and technology environments to hold credible, insightful discussions on the use of specific technologies,
be encouraged to pursue hands-on engineering and infrastructure development opportunities,
develop and maintain platform roadmaps, patterns, and standards,
be part of a high performing team, and most of all,
helping shape how Solution Engineering, and Network Services delivers on its commitment to provide great customer and technical service through technology innovation,
What a typical day might look like:
Providing consultation, technical leadership, and support to ANZ Technology and Business Domains
Supporting customers in capturing requirements, evaluating, and presenting solution options
Developing and deploying service and solution designs to realise customer and business outcomes
Working across programme and platform initiatives, collaborating with architects, design, delivery, and operations engineers solving technology issues and making technology decisions
Exploring and exploiting new technologies and capabilities through hands-on engineering and infrastructure development to solve problems efficiently
Facilitating rapid technical decision making
Preparing and maintaining platform roadmaps, patterns, and standards
What will likely be in your toolkit?
Solid understanding of Networking Concepts and supporting Knowledge
Minimum relevant experience of 7+ Years in a customer facing environment.
Minimum 12 months of experience in a similar role
Proven experience in the following:Design, Deployment and Operation of:
Cisco SDWAN and Enterprise LAN solutions (inc. Cisco’s vManage, DNA Center, ISE and Prime product suites)
Cisco Data Centre technologies (inc. Catalyst and Nexus routing and switching platforms, VxLAN EVPN, ACI, MPLS)
Private/Public Cloud Migration design (AWS, GCP, VMC, VCF, NSX-T)
Server Load Balancing / Reverse Proxy infrastructure (Radware Alteon, Citrix Netscaler)
Network Security (Palo Alto / Checkpoint firewalls and other policy enforcement devices)
WAN Optimisation (Riverbed Steelhead)
Routing technologies (OSPF, BGP etc)
Traffic management technologies (load balancing, prioritisation etc)
Enterprise Scale Network Management systems
Experience with Network Automation (Ansible, Python)
Experience in enterprise level Service desk and Operational management tools
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
